The Galaxy S24 Ultra is the one phone that I am really looking forward to and for all the right reasons. Samsung is making many changes this year, and the best thing is that you are getting the best of Samsung and then some this year. Improved cameras, deep AI integration, better software, and a familiar but improved design are just some things that you will be getting. Now, a new video has surfaced showing the phone in real life, confirming everything we need to know about the design.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra's flat display is a dream come true for me
The alleged Galaxy S24 Ultra video is only 17 seconds long, but it shows the phone just enough to give us a video of what we will get. There are no surprises, to be honest. The design has been leaked numerous times, and we know that this time around, Samsung has decided to ditch the curves and opted for a flat display, which honestly, is slowly becoming my favorite. More on that later, but for now, let's look at the video:
As you can see in the video above, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a perfectly flat screen compared to the curved screen of Samsung's past Ultra flagships. Now, this might sound like a downgrade, but honestly, this actually looks a lot better in person. I recently received the Redmagic 9 Pro, and it sports a completely flat 6.8-inch screen that absolutely looks stunning - there is no color warping around the edges, and the entire screen gives a seamless experience. Plus, I believe flatter displays should also have better overall protection, and it will make it a breeze to install tempered glass without running into the issues of the liquid adhesive leaking out after a while.
It is true that Samsung pioneered curved displays, but now that the company is making a switch, we should be prepared to make the move, and I cannot wait to see how Samsung explains this decision once the Galaxy S24 Ultra goes official on 17th January. You can expect a ton of more information to come forward in the coming days, and we will be sure to update you.
